Non-standard Flange
SDFL
The 304 hexagonal threaded non-standard flange is a custom-machined pipe connection with a hexagonal body and a female threaded bore. The hex body provides a wrenching surface during installation, while the threaded bore connects to threaded pipe or equipment without welding. Because this is a non-standard product, each unit is produced to the customer's drawing or sample rather than to a fixed standard series.
Hex wrenching body for easy on-site installation without special tools
Threaded connection, weld-free, fast assembly and disassembly for maintenance
Fully customized to drawing, compatible with all common thread standards
The hexagonal body is machined to the across-flats dimension specified by the purchaser. The internal thread can be produced to NPT, BSPP (G), BSPT, or metric thread standards, and is verified with the corresponding thread gauge before shipment.
The flange disk dimensions, including outer diameter, thickness, bolt-hole pattern, and sealing face, follow the customer drawing. Raised-face, flat-face, and weld-in configurations can be produced, and the disk can be shaped for tank or vessel welding where the design requires it.
The threaded connection removes the need for on-site welding at the connection point, which reduces installation time on equipment where welding access is limited. The hex body holds the part while the threaded pipe or fitting is tightened, and the same connection can be disassembled for maintenance or replacement.
Standard Material: ASTM A182 Grade F304 (UNS S30400, EN 1.4301) forged bar
Optional Material: ASTM A182 F304L, F316, F316L and other custom grades
An EN 10204 3.1 material test report is supplied with each batch. Thread inspection records, dimensional reports, and PMI results are available on request.
Production dimensions are taken from the customer drawing, as no fixed dimension series applies to this non-standard product. The general capability table and the ANSI B16.5 Class 300 flange dimension table shown on the page are reproduced below for reference.

A drawing or sample is required, together with the thread standard and size, across-flats dimension, disk dimensions, material grade, quantity, and finish.
NPT, BSPP (G), BSPT, and metric threads can be produced according to the drawing.
Yes. The material can be changed to 304L, 316, 316L, or other specified grades.
Custom parts typically take 8-15 working days after drawing confirmation. The schedule depends on complexity, quantity, and inspection requirements.
Prototype quantities from one piece are supported for non-standard items.
Samples and first-article inspection reports can be arranged for approval before volume production begins.
Parts can be supplied pickled and passivated, with an as-machined finish, or with a polished finish according to the drawing.
If a part does not match the drawing or the agreed inspection report, replacement or return is arranged under the terms of the sales contract.
The hex body provides a flat wrenching surface for easy tightening and removal without special flange tools; it also offers better torque resistance than round bodies, ideal for tight installation spaces.
Yes, we can produce NPT, BSPT, BSPP threads matching SCH40, SCH80 and other standard pipe schedules, fully manufactured to your drawing specifications.
